What does that mean?
It means that just as an athlete uses a sports coach to help them excel at a sport, a Health and Wellness Coach can help anyone excel at living their life.
How?
By working with you to create the tools you need to make changes toward a healthier life. We all can use a health & fitness makeover from time to time. Work pressures, parenting responsibilities, financial worries, can all be part of the daily strains of living in a fast-paced world. They can often, without knowing it, effect your health resulting in sleepless nights, increased levels of stress and overwhelm, that then leads to weight gain, lack of exercise and poor nutrition. When this becomes too much, for too long, it effects all the dimensions of your life, especially your health and can lead to the poor lifestyle choices we tend to make under pressure that lead to chronic disease.
In fact, the World Health Organization says that two-thirds of all disease across the globe will soon be the result of those lifestyle choices. A stressed brain is not a smart brain. And that stressed brain becomes the slave to the fast and easy poor choices we all tend to make when on overwhelm. These choices become normal everyday behaviors and lead us towards those chronic illnesses like diabetes, obesity and heart disease to name a few.
And because this is now so common new types of healthcare have emerged called Lifestyle Medicine and Functional Medicine. Both of these new specialties are in response to the growing need to help people fix their health problems by looking at diet, exercise, sleep patterns, stress levels and other aspects of their life that are impacting their health and the quality of their lives.

Your Personal Health Coach will always have your best interests in mind and be the support system you need. They will follow up with you regularly providing the guidance, treatment, support and education you need.
